Construction Updates
Starting Monday, July 7, 2025, we at Sol Systems with our partner Q-Cells are excited to start the construction phase of the Blossom Solar Project. Both of our organizations are proud that this project will bring well-paying jobs with benefits to Ohio residents. We have committed to staffing at least 70% of all positions with Ohio residents.
On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, we took delivery of the first of the earth-moving equipment and started installing stormwater pollution prevention fencing (SWPPP) along the perimeter of the project. The SWPPPs you will see are short fabric fences designed to filter any sediment from entering neighboring waterways. In the next month, we will continue to install more silt fence, grading for our lay-down yard, and installing entrances to our project along County Roads 30 and 31, as well as on SR-309.
The Blossom Solar team would like to thank everyone who participated in making this project happen: all the local and County officials, our neighbors and landowners, for your input, cooperation, and collaborative spirit.
